Workers Shacks, the dwellings of migrant workers, can be found in many areas of the United States, but there are higher concentrations near the coastlines. These resources can be difficult to preserve because of their low quality construction materials due to the economic situation of their inhabitants. Cannery Row in Monterey, California has examples of a couple shacks that have been interpreted demonstrating different migrant worker backgrounds (Filipino, Japanese and Spanish). – “For History Buffs and Arts and Culture,” City Focus, City of Monterey,
