Second Renaissance Revival (1890-1930)

This Beaux Art sub-style is unique because it articulated different features on each story of the building. For example, the base will often have a rusticated appearance and may have different orders of columns or window ornamentation to differentiate between stories. It is common to find arcades on one level and post and lintel or pediment on another.  The variety of eclectic features was drawn together from ancient examples: it shows the freedom of elaboration unparalleled to the first Renaissance Revival.
